Hey everyone :)

So I'm kind of an old dog when it comes to anything from nude arts to pornography and over the years I have learned to use several different kinds of phrases (or "tags" as you would call it today), not only to describe the many different shades or categories of the industry, but also to reflect the way those same shades are weighed and measured by society in general.

Anyway, on indexxx it seems some members are a little confused by some of the phrases normally associated with the industry and naturally when I started adding some of the less commonly known phrases it might have confused some of the members, understandably , so I thought I would just add a list here explaining some of the phrases / tags that I have picked up over the years ;)

Main categories:
---------------------------
(I have formed most of my definitions on not only the industry but also public opinion, there are a lot of gray areas but these are basically what it comes down to).

- Extremecore (Short tag(s): Xcore, XC)
Covers: Gangbang (4 or more male models on 1 F/M model), Abuse Porn, Bukakke, Blackmail Porn, etc. basically any kind of content featuring degrading behavior towards the model(s).

- Hardcore - (Short tag(s): HC)
Covers: Mutual sexual interaction between members of the opposite sex (max 3 male models on 1 F/M model)

- Midcore (Short tag(s): MC)
Covers: Anything where 1 model is stimulated (one-way stimulation only) by member(s) of the opposite sex, this could be by the use of oral, fingering or by toys.

- Softcore (Short tag(s): SC)
Covers: Both mutual and / or one-way sexual stimulation between female only models of any number, may include all kinds of toys, this category doesn't exist for gay actors, for gays it is pretty much directly to the above categories.

- Solo
Covers: Any kind of mastubation using fingers (or hand) and / or toys, only the model her- / him-self can be involved in the stimulation and no other model can interact with the model while she / he mastubates, otherwise it changes to "Softcore" or if it's the opposite sex it changes to "Midcore".

- Glamor Erotica / Erotica (Short tag(s): GlamE / Erotica)
Covers: This is about showing the beauty of the nude body, but it is also about the more erotic aspects of nude arts, the main difference between "Glamor Erotica" and "Glamor" is that in "Glamor Erotica" the model(s) are allowed to touch their genitals, not in a directly sexual way, such as to simulate mastubation, but to display or bring focus to the genitals and could include things like a female model spreading their labia or pulling their buttcheeks slightly apart.

- Glamor (Short tag(s): Glam)
Covers: Much like the "Glamor Erotica", "Glamor" is about showing the beauty of the nude body, it is basically the good old nude arts and the photographers and videographers are often given way more room to experiment with the media, the models even though often completely nude will not necessarily be displayed in a sexual way, instead a lot of weight will be put on creating an atmosphere, this ofc doesn't mean that it can't be erotic, but it is not necessarily where the emphasis lies, also like mentioned in the "Glamor Erotica" category, to be able to fall into this category the model cannot under any circumstance directly touch their genitals.

Minor Tags:
---------------------------
(These are just some of the known tags, there are ofc many more).

Mov - Movies, Videos, Clips.

Pic - Pictures, Photographs.

Toy - The use of sextoys for mastubation, such as glass dongs, dildos, vibrators, etc.

Obj - The use of miscelanous none-sextoy objects for mastubation, such as penetration with hairbrushes, cucumbers, bananas, etc.

Girl-Girl - Softcore interaction between two or more female models (Also: gg, GG, Soft).

Boy-Girl - Direct hardcore interaction between two or more models of the opposite sex (Also: bg, BG, HC).

Anal - Anal penetration by either cock or sextoy.

AP - Anal Plug / Butt Plug, a "-T" could be added to indicate the more specific anal plug tail (Also: BP).

DP - Double penetration, the simultaneous penetration of both vagina and anus.

DAP - Simultaneous double anal penetration, primarily used for anal penetration with cocks, but may also apply to sextoys.

TAP - Simultaneous triple anal penetration, same factors as DAP.

DPP - Simultaneous Double pussy penetration, primarily used for vaginal penetration with cocks, but may also apply to sextoys.

TPP - Simultaneous Triple pussy penetration, same factors as DPP.

Gang - Gangbang, 4 or more male models on 1 F/M model.

3on1 - 3 F/M models on 1 model of opposite sex, always with one single model in the center role (Also: BBBG, BGGG).

2on1 - 2 F/M models on 1 model of opposite sex, always with one single model in the center role (Also: BBG, BGG).

4Way - 4 models of the same or opposite sex, usually with no single model in the center role (Also: BBBB, BBGG, BGGG, GGGG).

3Way - 3 models of the same or opposite sex, usually with no single model in the center role (Also: BBB, BGG, GGG).

Like mentioned, these are just a few of both the categories and definitions that I have run into over the years and some people might have different opinions and ideas of things, so please feel free to add your thoughts ;)

Hello TQA!

I am a little confused about the meaning of "tags" in your post. indexxx.com has at least two sorts of tags. The one sort is the 'model tags' and the other are the 'tags' you can add in the website box like 'istripper.com i Mila Azul solo' where 'solo' is the tag.

To the 'model tags' i have to say, that there are many empty tags or tags with just one model exists. I my opinion those tags are superfluous. On the other side i have enabled tags which could be wrong after the time. If i tag a model as 'underrated' or 'one_set_model' and the model will get a high rating or the model will do dozen of photosets, these tags would be no more true.
The person who tagged a model, should be able to untag the model!

To the list of TQA:

bondage - a model is just tied (with rope, leather, cuffs, .. ) but without of violence.

bdsm (bondage discipline sado maso) - models, that don't necessary are bound, are treated with whips, blue wands, TENs, wax, needles and others

fetish - every sort of sexual practice, which differ from normal sex , like fisting, pissing, bondage, bdsm, diaper, petplay, ...

petplay - a woman or a man takes the position of a dog, a horse, a pig, a cow or other animal.

hucow - a woman, who takes the position as a cow.

ponygirl - a woman, who takes the position as a horse.

fisting - penetration of the vagina with hand/fist up to the arm.

the german 'Natursekt' is not the same meaning like pissing. Pissing means to piss over the whole body of the other partner.
'Natursekt' means to piss in a glass and let the other drink or force the other to drink it's own piss.

Hey Arbol01 :)

Mainly the tags I'm referring to is the "Website" window's tags, which is also why they are made up of compressed / contracted words, for me personally they are the most important ones as they make it really easy for both myself and the fans of a model to find out exactly which websites to go to to find the kind of content that we are looking for featuring our favorite models, where as the "Tags" window just lets you see the combined tags without any indication of where we might be able to find the mentioned type of content :)

Btw regarding the iStripper, I'm still confused about this one, a lot of ppl keeps adding the "Solo" tag to that site but I thought that site only showed striptease / dancing, is there actually solo shows as well? (solo = models mastubating)

"Btw regarding the iStripper, I'm still confused about this one, a lot of ppl keeps adding the "Solo" tag to that site but I thought that site only showed striptease / dancing, is there actually solo shows as well? (solo = models mastubating)"

I took the istripper just as an example. I don't use istripper. I use more metart, amourangels, femjoy, nubiles and other services. I interpret the 'solo' as that only one model is on the set. I don't think the solo model has to masturbate, but i prefer sets with solo model, who use a dildo or another toy.
It could be difficult to use the tag 'solo' becaus for example Emily Bloom has many solo sets on metart, but she has sets with another girl on metart too.

"for me personally they are the most important ones as they make it really easy for both myself"

For me, the "windows tags" are not for interest. If i see a new site to a favorite model, i look at the side, what i get. This is more helpfull to me.

Interesting categorization!

I think yours is very good, although I do see some problems in the process moving to it, or some new issues that may appear, although solvable.

About the terminology, I never heard of "midcore" before, and likely a relative high number of users haven't either. But I do think it's a good category, reading your description.
The use of such relative unknown terminology requires education of users, although that's more a technical problem, that can be solved by the website showing a glossary.

Another but related problem is consistency. Some users, including I, have/had a different association with the word "solo", even though yours may be more correct. But this again can be fixed technically.
Also related: "bg" is easy to understand as an acronym and word, although some users may have used it differently than others. (I used "bg" for sexual intercourse, whereas some users may have even used it for fellatio.) But can be fixed technically.

Maybe there also is a need for more "general" categories apart from the "main" categories, for ease of use. When you quickly want to categorize, without looking at the whole set of photos/videos. For example, if a model appears at MetArt and I want to categorize it quickly without looking at all photos, and I assume that the model appears alone in the set, than I used the word "solo" as in "unaccompanied" (even though "solo" may have a different meaning), but the model could also perform softcore in some photos or somewhere in a video. In that case, a more general category could be added (I used "solo"), until someone adds a more detailed subcategory (such as "softcore").
So in that case, a (parent) category can consist of subcategory. Where users can quickly add parent category for ease of use, until someone adds a more detailed subcategory.

This also solves another related problem if only the "main" categories would be used, than it's unclear how to specify whether a model on a website is already categorized or not. If no tag would be added, it can mean that the model appears at least nude on a website, but it can also mean that nobody categorized it yet. A "general" category could solve this, because they are easier to add than a "main" category.

Other types of categories that differ from the main categories and not directly fall in the "minor" category, are:
- Interview
- Agency
- Social
- Webcam
- or even Escort (debatible whether is one is wanted, but that's a different discussion)

Other problem can arrise when a model has on a website both: 1) hardcore videos, 2) glamour photos and 3) lesbian performance. In that case, multiple "main" categories can be added. So one main category doesn't rule out another main category.
