Back when this was released in 2013, I thought it was the best film of all time up to that point, funny how webyoung seems forgotten in the world of porn, some of the greatest lesbian videos of all time, yet you don't see it mentioned much in forums and such, and was short lived, I just don't understand why it didn't gain more notoriety. update: the European version of webyoung is what I'm referring to.

I just had to share a recent discovery here. Actually, not so recent of a movie, The Violation of Claudia (1977), but a new discovery for me. It might very well be (alongside the Annika-Lori scene in "Caligula") the best lesbian scene I've ever come across from the classic porn era. It features a 20-21 yo Sharon Mitchell, and I had no idea she was such a looker back then. She's reputedly a lesbian in her personal life, which definitely a plus for doing gg scenes. The other lady is an early performer who goes by the name of Crystal Sync, who I'd never heard of before. It's a nice erotic scene featuring a very nice sideways 69 with beautifully shot closeups of a quality that you don't usually see from 70s porn.
My only question, how did I not find this one back when I was first watching porn videos in the early 80s? Even by my now much-heightened standards of what constitutes good lesbian porn, this scene holds up, and it would have been particularly awesome to have seen back when lesbian scenes of this quality really weren't out there. This was the kind of scene I was *hoping* to find when fast forwarding through as many VHS's as I could find on the rental shelves. In any event, it definitely makes me want to go back and explore more early Sharon Mitchell lez scenes.

Holy crap what I find, I even like the music! I had no idea Sharon Mitchel ever looked damn near like a Club Seventeen model back then, the earliest of anything I remember from her was the 80's or 90's, and most of that was fast forward material as you say, we need to examine her early works now to see what we may have missed, first thing I'm going to do is comb through this Video-X-Pix catalog Video-X-Pix just out of curiosity did they make other similar lesbian video, Crystal Sync is really nice too, never heard of her.
Something else that blows my mind, no over acting, no toys, no fake tits, and the image quality of the video I downloaded from AdultDVDEmpire is actually not half bad considering.

Hey how did you make these screen grabs? They look like stills, image quality of my download has nowhere near the color and sharpness, and yours look like widescreen, or did you shop them?

First off, I downloaded the XHamster version (via a video downloader site), which claims to be 720p. It's obviously 720p only in name, but it's the best resolution I could find. (I'd love it if I could find an HD straight-from-film transfer, but who knows whether those even still exist.) Then, snapped stills in VLC, and then sharpening, noise reduction, and slight saturation enhancement in Gimp. It made for some nice images.
But now looking at it more closely and playing around with different aspect ratios, the correct ratio might actually be 16:10 rather than the wide 16:9 that I used.

Here's a biographical video about Sharon Mitchell from YouTube. She's really had a very interesting life. It also has lots of shots from her 70s films, and MAN, what a looker she was at that time! Her 80s look had a harder edge, but I'd still like to check out even her very early 80s stuff, including the art film she did at the time, "Kamikaze Hearts", with real-life girlfriend Tigr. But definitely a thorough going over of her 70s work is called for.

OK, here's a find - someone has done an AI resolution-enhanced 1080p version of "Violation of Claudia", linked to here. You need Filejoker to download it. I subbed to Filejoker for a month just to get it. The resolution really is enhanced, albeit, not quite as sharp as I'd normally expect from 1080p, but not bad, either.
I've been doing some research on this video, and apparently, the film stock still exists and a company called Distribpix actually did a 2K video rip in 2014, but then only issued it on DVD (which maxes out at 480p) and never bothered with Blu-Ray (which would have been perfectly possible in 2014) or a higher resolution rip later on. I really wish these companies that claim to be doing collectors versions would use actual state of the art technology.

I found the higher quality version at adultdvdempire say's it's 480, but you can see it's displayed 16:9 or 16:10 as you point out, there's usually a lot of edge cropping when they convert a native resolution 4:3 to 16:9, and can't download scenes individually, DVD is sold out, DVD's usually suck though, but I'd get it anyway if it were available.
I see filejoker say's it's 3.63 gig, 1620x1080 at about 30 fps, all the factors for a high quality download, except for the 1620x1080, should be 1920x1080, I'm going to plunk down the 8 bucks and get the ADE version just out of curiosity.

Ok I get it now, the original Violation of Claudia was shot in either 1.85:1 or 2.39:1 for cinemas, 4:3 is 1.3:1 and 16:9 is 1.7:1 for tv's, there's significant cropping on the sides to fit the cinema version into a 4:3 aspect, but cropping top and bottom for the 16:9 as indicated by the screen grabs.
also notice the 4:3 bottom picture that was probably from some old VHS has much worse image clarity than the top more native resolution wide screen conversion.

I'm pretty sure the version at ADE is the same as the digital version at Hotmovies, which is where I have minutes. The contrast and color rendering on that version are terrible.
And now you have me geeking out over things like aspect ratio!
