question:
on most of the model pages galleries I click on just a single photo appears on the screen, instead of directing me to the gallery page. Why? It has only recently started doing this.

@Yuri
Thanks, the dates are now corrected. Currently, I can't delete model pages, but they marked to be deleted.

@Bil,
This problem can be caused when Javascript is disabled. Can you confirm whether this is the case? Which browser are you using?

To check your settings, see http://mybrowserinfo.com , look for "JavaScript Enabled". (Note, "JavaScript" is not the same as "Java".)

To test live Javascript code, go to http://www.radit-online.com/code-2/javascript-alert-box/ , and click the "click me" button. When clicked, a window with "Hi, Thanks for learn with us on Radit Blog Online!" should appear.

To modify your settings, see https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=12654

Thanks Batman for the links. My JavaScript is enabled, the window "Hi, Thanks..." comes up and I am using IE7 but still the links goto a single pic. Like I said I have never had this problem before at Indexxx, just recently. Let me know what you think.
thanks

It probably happened when indexxx changed to a more Google-Image-Bot friendly layout. This layout can be a problem for old browsers, and those will get the results that you have:
-All photo-sets are clickable, and behave like a thumbnail. Clicking on it will give a larger photo. Because they are clickable, each thumb of a photo-set is bordered with a blue line.
-The thumbnails won't hover/popup a larger photo when mousing over it.
-If a photo-set has a gallery, than a link to the gallery is shown above the thumb, with the text "Free Gallery". Which should be the case for http://www.indexxx.com/models/37096/anna-10/ . So you should still be able to view galleries.

Also, all browsers with JavaScript disabled, will get the same results.
These results can also appear for new browsers when a page isn't fully downloaded yet. If some page elements aren't loaded, like an external Javascript file from Twitter because Twitter has server problems, than the problem can also appear.

In the case for IE7, I would expect normal behaviour instead of old-browser behaviour.
A quick solution would be to upgrade to IE8, which is also advisable in terms of security on your PC, or to use FireFox or Chrome.

I'll see if I can do some more tests on IE7. (about 5% of the visitors are still using it.)

this is what I get when I try to click on Anna's 'Free Gallery'
http://www.indexxx.com/images/websites/karupspc/22560/pset.jpg
I dont know if it helps, but for some reason I can view some galleries, e.g. I just tried this one
http://www.indexxx.com/galleries/125196/null/ This works fine but when I try another 'free gallery' from the same model I get http://www.indexxx.com/images/websites/allinternal/roxy/pset.jpg
Let me know if you have any suggestions

Many Eromaxx sets have incorrect dates

Many Eromaxx sets have incorrect dates

Guys,

Many Eromaxx sets have incorrect dates, because you seem to count the date is was released on Tainster as the date. For example, look at the top entries on Tyrannized, http://www.indexxx.com/websites/93/tyrannized/, or CumSquad, http://www.indexxx.com/websites/260/cumsquad/, or PeeSquad, http://www.indexxx.com/websites/261/peesquad/. This is incorrect, as the date of release is simply the date that the old set from Orgymax was made available on the newer Tainster.
Luckily, all eromaxx sets have the date of original release embedded in the set name, so it is safe to run a script where you substr the site prefix, exctract the date and write it out to the db set_date ( or somesuch) field.

Please correct, as it very misleading to see a model, who retired 4 years ago appear in a set dated '2010.

And, speaking of Cumsquad and Peesquad, is there a hope that we'll see ENTIRE CS / PS portfolio on indexx, and nt just the paltry few sets that eromaxx people moved to Tainster? :)

Improper attribution in DDF Jokes sets

Improper attribution in DDF Jokes sets

IMHO it is incorrect to attribute "motley crew" sets, such as DDF 1-By-Day "Jokes" sets to a specific model, despite the fact that the website does that. Such sets contain a variety of random outtake images, where the "cover" model might figure in one or two photos.

Recent example, Zuzana Z., 2011-01-02, 113jks (1by-day.com), where Zuzana is not even on the cover.

I think it is better to leave such sets unattributed, like, say, in sets from publicviolations.com.

I did some tests with IE7, which rendered the site without problems. I don't know why it doesn't on your PC. You can try to download and install Firefox webbrowser, or upgrade IE7 to IE8 via Windows update.

If correct, if you click right on top (and not next or nearby) at
free-gallery.gif
(which is hovered above the photo set that have a gallery), then you should see the gallery. But if you click a few pixels away from the photo set image, then the photo set image will show it's large version.

yeah, I just noticed that myself (the pixel thing), I didnt realise sooner because that wasnt always the case, like I keep saying this problem has only been recent. Never the less thats as good as it gets unless I upgrade to FF or IE8, I cant complain; and thanks for making the effort and taking the time Batman.

Why are there two Allwam entries in the website list for Eromaxx, http://www.indexxx.com/websites/84/allwam/ and http://www.indexxx.com/websites/263/allwam2/ ??

This sure confuses the heck out of a lot of people, and makes it more difficult to search. Is there a reason the prevents the merger of these two?
There were some problems with the site, I'll put it on the todo list.

I agree, also put on the todo list.

Batman,

Thank you for your replies to my posts here and in adjacent threads. I will now hold my breath and count down the time when some of these things get fixed. With the pace of recent improvement, I know it won't be long. :)
